Efficiency Enhancement of Coaxial-Cavity Electron Cyclotron Resonance Maser by Tapering Guide Magnetic Field

A coaxial-cavity cyclotron resonance maser (CRM) oscillator with tapered guide magnetic field is proposed. It is shown that the transmission quality can be improved by tapering the guide magnetic field. Simulation indicates that the efficiency of a millimeter-wave gyrotron oscillator may be reached up to 38.7% by optimizing the tapered magnetic field.     

Synthesis and optoelectronic properties of silole‐containing polyfluorenes with binary structures

2,5‐Bis(2‐bromofluorene‐7‐yl)silole was prepared by a modified one‐pot synthesis with a reverse addition procedure, from which novel silole‐containing polyfluorenes with binary random and alternating structures (silole contents between 4.5 and 25% and high M_w up to 509 kDa were successfully synthesized. The well‐defined repeating unit of the alternating copolymer comprises a terfluorene and a silole ring. Optoelectronic properties including UV absorption, electrochemistry, photoluminescence (PL), and electroluminescence (EL) of the copolymers were examined. The different excitation energy transfers from fluorene to silole of the copolymers in solution and in the solid state were compared. The films of the copolymers showed silole‐dominant green emissions with high absolute PL quantum yields up to 83%. EL devices of the copolymers with a configuration of ITO/PEDOT/copolymer/Ba/Al displayed exclusive silole emissions peaked at around 543 nm and the highest EL efficiency was achieved with the alternating copolymer. Using the alternating copolymer and poly(9,9‐dioctylfluorene) as the blend‐type emissive layer, a maximum external quantum efficiency of 1.99% (four times to that of the neat film) was realized, which was a high efficiency so far reported for silole‐containing polymers. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 一维光子晶体缺陷模激光器的放大特性

光子晶体中引入缺陷后将形成缺陷模,这些缺陷模在增益介质中将被放大形成激光。基于麦克斯韦方程和速率方程相结合的模型,用时域有限差分法(FDTD)计算和分析了一维单缺陷光子晶体激光器中缺陷模的空间分布和频谱特性,以及这些缺陷模的放大特性,主要研究了缺陷层的厚度、晶体层数对缺陷模放大特性的影响。模拟结果显示,类似于传统激光腔的腔模,这些缺陷模能够被放大,形成激光。调整缺陷层的厚度、晶体层数等结构参量,将改变缺陷模的谐振,激射频率以及空间分布,这将直接影响激射阈值和饱和特性。增加晶体的层数,激光器的阈值将降低,饱和值将增加,但晶体层数增加到一定限度时,这种增减趋势变弱。模拟结果证明了有效层数的存在。     

High longitudinal selectivity of shifting multiplexing in volume holograms

High longitudinal selectivity of the shifting multiplexing with spherical reference wave is proposed and demonstrated. A simplified method based on wave optics is used for calculating the selectivity, and the result fits well the experimental measurement. Under the paraxial condition, a simple formula for the longitudinal selectivity is introduced. With use of an object lens with effective NA=0.817, we obtain that an FWHM of selectivity is as small as 1 μm.     

多层光子晶体滤波器研究

从双层结构出发研究了一种由多块不同的单周期光子晶体组合而成的多层结构的滤波器，论述了这种滤波器的工作原理，研究表明这种结构适于制作带通、窄带通过、带阻、宽带带阻、高通以及其它各种性能的滤波器。实验和理论研究的结果相一致。     

八信道高温超导多路器的实验研究

文中首先分析八信道高温超导多路器设计的方案,以及实现八信道高温超导多路器的技术;给出了用MgO基片为衬底,YBCO超导膜制备的高温超导滤波器设计仿真曲线及实际测试曲线;并对多路器所用制冷器的制冷量进行了计算;最后给出八信道高温超导多路器的实际测试曲线。     

一类脉冲中立型时滞抛物方程组的振动性

研究一类脉冲中立型时滞抛物方程组解的振动性,得到了该类方程组在两类不同边界条件下所有解振动的若干充分条件.     

Preparation, characterization and photocatalytic activity of polycrystalline Bi2O3/SrTiO3 composite powders

Bi₂O₃/SrTiO₃ composite powders have been prepared and their photocatalytic activities were investigated by photooxidation of methanol. These powders were characterized by UV-Visible diffuse reflectance spectra, SEM and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results revealed that all the Bi₂O₃/SrTiO₃ composite powders exhibited higher photocatalytic activity than pure SrTiO₃, Bi₂O₃ and TiO₂ (P25) under visible light irradiation (λ>440 nm). The effects of the Bi₂O₃ contents on the photocatalytic activities of the composite powders were examined, the photocatalytic activities increased with the content of Bi₂O₃ increasing to a maximum of 83% and then decreased under visible light irradiation. The effects of the calcination temperatures on the photocatalytic activities of the composite powders were also investigated.     

THE ASYMPTOTIC SOLUTION FOR A CLASS OF SINGULARLY PERTURBED PROBLEM FOR SEMILINEAR SINGULAR EQUATION

The singularly perturbed boundary value problem for a class of semilinearsingular equation is considered. Using a simple and special method the asym-ptotic behavior of solution is studied.     

Mössbauer effect of iron-57 intercalated in layered compound 2H−Fe0.5TaSe2

⁵⁷Fe Mössbauer effect study has been performed on intercalated compound 2H?Fe_0.5TaSe₂ over a temperature range between 14K and 500K. The highly concentrated intercalation samples 2H?Fe_xTaSe₂ with Fe atoms (x up to 2) are prepared by the electrochemical method for the first time. The Mössbauer measurement shows that iron is in Fe³⁺ high spin state and with the same probability occupies both octahedral and tetrahedral interstices of the Van der Waals gap. The fact that effective masses of iron ions in both sites are close to 57 amu and characteristic temperatures (Θ_M =130K, 107K respectively) are found to be relatively small is attributed to the weak forces on Fe³⁺.
